Flamenco portraits photo gallery. ‘Jondo Regard’, by Daniel Muñoz

Jondo regard
Flamenco portraits, by Daniel Muñoz

The stage filters the person’s image and turns it into an artist. But off it, their gestures and their regards can sometimes show something still deeper of bailaores, cantaores, guitarists and other creators in the flamenco world. Over the last decade, Daniel Muñoz’s camera has been observing them while they were being interviewed, while they were conversing, while they were posing for the press, while they were plunging into their thoughts… And little by little, he has ‘revealed’ very unique snapshots -many of which were previously unseen- that complete the image which the spectator has of all these artists... and of the people they hold inside. Here is a selection.
