Córdoba can hardly catch
its breath. Just a few weeks after the 2007 Flamenco Art
Contest, the city is once again filled with flamenco.
But this time it plays a supporting role in the Guitar
Festival, host to top international names from every genre
involving the six strings. As in every edition, flamenco
has an outstanding role both at the theaters and in the
classrooms, which again welcome the renowned course by
Manolo Sanlúcar. Highlighting the scheduled performances
is that of Paco
de Lucía on July 2nd at the Teatro La Axerquía
and those of Miguel Poveda, Eva Yerbabuena and Juan Carlos
Romero at the Gran Teatro on July 3rd, 8th and 12th, respectively.
